{ippity} That's How Thursday Tutorial
I always have a hard time coming up with new ideas and to make matters worse my craft time has been very limited lately. I hosted Easter at my house last weekend and I've been meaning to sew some curtains for the bare windows in my kitchen...no better time than when you are having a house full right?! So any spare time I had I was making these:
That's a band of gingham fabric along the bottom...I'm so obsessed that it's making it's way into each room of my house :) Since I was spending so much time with these prints I decided to go with them for my tutorial this week. No, I'm not showing you how to make the curtains, I'm showing you how to make the idea that kept coming to mind while I was making them.

I kept thinking this floral fabric would make great accents for paper crafting and since I had plenty of fabric left over from both prints I decided to make this scrapbook layout. I used the {Snippity of ippity} set to make the background and even stamped on the fabric...it was fun!! Let's get started!
List of Supplies:
Snippity of {ippity} Stamp Set
8 1/2 x 11 Kraft Cardstock
Fabric
Ink
Scissors
Glue Stick
Stamp-a-ma-jig
Thread
1. Use Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the whole background with the {ippity} stamp. I chose yellow for mine because I wanted a subtle pattern, but you could use a bolder color or even alternate colors to match your design.
2. Stamp the same image on fabric of your choice and cut them out.
3. Stitch a grid in between each of the brackets and glue the fabric accents over a few random ones to highlight the pattern. I zig zag stitched over the fabric to help secure them and add another decorative element.
4. Cut out some of the flowers from the fabric print and embellish your layout.
This was really EASY to do and was a FUN way to create your own coordinating background. Here are a few detail shots:
