That's How Thursday

Hello {ippity} friends!!!

I have a "sticky" That's How tutorial for you today.  Ha.
Actually, it isn't that sticky, but it is sure fun.

Remember this card from Monday?

I created that strip of decorative tape and I am excited to share with you how today.  It is super easy!!!

This is what you will need:
paper tape {from any drugstore in the first aid section}
ink
stamps

So EASY right!!!
Decorative tape is a BIG trend right now and
this is a great way to customize your tape to your {ippity} projects.

I have a quick video to "show" you how I created these tapes.
I have a few tips included as well.

Hope you enjoyed today's tutorial and it inspires you to try it yourself!

Have a BEAUTIFUL day!

I've got quite a few faves to share with you this week!!!

You all truly amaze me with your creativity,  and I am happy to share some
Sunday Faves with you today so, let's get started...

Pam (Wearestampers) - Lovin' the Americana and country feel to this awesome masculine card!  The extra details like the twine and stitching really make the card just pop!!

Savannah (espbfdl) -  Super fun and so clever to make a sweet carrot card with our {ippity} bunny stamp!!  I love the little pull out and the ribbon detail and scallops too!

Kim (Kim Dellow) -  Okay so we all totally love that {ippity} Gurnsey Gingham stamp, and look at high bright and vivid it looks on Kim's card!  Totally looks like handmade paper!  This card makes me super happy and I adore the Unity Suzi Blu girlie stamp!

Christy (Lone Pine Designs)  The touch of the sweet little flowers and brads on the {ippity} tree stamp are so delightful!  The two colors of kraft background with hint of blue ribbons is simply amazing!!

That wraps it up for me today!  Enjoy the rest of you weekend!!  Please stop by each one of the Sunday Faves to leave them some love...and check out the rest of the {ippity} gallery for even more fabulous inspiration!!

See you tomorrow, for our next {ippity} hop!!  Til then...

Flatter-day Saturday

Hello, hello, it's time to meet our Blossoming Chick of the week.

MEET SABRINA LERE!

So we asked Sabrina to share a little bit about herself and this is what she had to share.

I am a full time office manager for a real estate company. I am also a licensed Realtor. My husband and I will be celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary in May. We have a 7 year old son and a baby on the way! I enjoy volunteering for our small town community events and am the president of our local Commercial Club.

I have been stamping for as long as Unity has been a company. I am lucky enough to be THE Miss Angela Magnuson’s neighbor and good friend. I never thought of myself as a crafty person. I am really the typical type A personality, analytical - always thinking and planning. When Angela told me about the new adventure she was going on, she gave me my first stamp set and I was in love. Working full time and being a busy mom I have not had a lot time to devote to crafting but it is a wonderful escape for me when I do get the chance.

I decided to start selling ippity stamps as a way to encourage myself to get more involved in the wonderful craft world and to make myself take more time to craft. I would say my style is clean and simple. I like straight lines and matching accessories! Probably a type A thing lol. I have taken over our sun room for my craft space. I am pretty lucky it is a large room with large windows overlooking our backyard. It is a great space to work.

My creative process is to look for inspiration on blog hops, magazines and out my windows, I then take about an hour to plan my project and 30 minutes to put it together! Sometimes it takes me days to find inspiration and plan it but the assembly is usually pretty quick.

My favorite quote is Happiness is something you create. – author unknown

And here is a pretty layout Sabrina wanted to share with us.  Isn't this so cute?

Thank you Sabrina for sharing about yourself with us and your talent!  It's been a pleasure "meeting" you!

Have a wonderful day ladies!  Hope you stamp something today!

Fresh Idea Friday....TWINE

Oh, my beautiful TWINE!!!
I love this stuff, can't get enough of it and can't stop using it.
I love that it comes in so many fun colors.
I thought today it would be fun to look at a few fun, and unique ways to use this wonderful stuff.

First up, I used the purple twine to make a Frame around my images.
I felt it gave a perfect, home spun touch to this welcome home card.
Stamps are from House A Home!

Then I played with the same colors and came up with this easy and quick birthday tag.
A thin strip of glue and some Pea Pod twine and I had a sweet lil' stem for my flower.
Tie a bow to add some leaves.
Had to use How You Doin'? on this one.
You'll also see some Gurnsey Gingahm along the bottom.
Then in case you missed it on Monday's H{ippity} Hop
(our last challenge for March is to hand stitch on your cards
two more days to get your creations posted!!! )
Here's another look at some French Knots done up with a green strand from the twine.
Just cut a small piece of twine and pull apart the
1 strand you want and use that to stitch in some knots.
I then wrapped it around the sentiment layer
and fanned out the twine to create a few rays, just like the sunshine!
This set is Quotes à la Happy!

Thanks for stopping by today.
Hope you'll be inspired to use your twine in a unique way.

That's How Thursday

Welcome to How To Thursday

Today I have a video tutorial on how to use some of your Ippity Stamps to make a page in your Art Journal. Art Journals seem to be the rage these days.. I just love that you can mix your stamps in your pages, to change it from ordinary to extordinary.. Let me tell you these Ippity stamps are amazing images to add to your pages. You don't need to be an artist you just need to want to have FUN!! I was also thinking if you are an Ippity Chick wouldn't this be a fun way to teach a class and sell more Ippity!! Multi purpose.. you gotta love that.
Here is just a sample of what the video is all about.

Happy Happy Togetherness

Sit back and enjoy.. I am trying to get better at these videos.. I must say I love how this one turned out. Enjoy!!

Hello ladies! I am so excited to be spending a little time with you. I still consider myself a newbie when it comes to crafting. I am so inspired by all of you daily as I look at your projects. I have not crafted for about 2 months as I am 17 weeks pregnant (yay!) and my first trimester was pretty rough. So when my turn as a blossom came around it was great motivation to get back at it. And I am so glad I did. Here are a few projects I created to share with you.

Maria's Sunday Faves

Hope you aren't tired of me yet because I'm back again today with my Sunday Faves.
And I'm pretty sure from the bright and happy cards that are filling the gallery you ALL are feeling the spring fever too.
Wanna see what I found?
This SUPER CUTE card from {Emily Keaton} makes me want to run into my craft room and duplicate it. The bright colors...the stitching down the center of the hearts...the scallop border and OMG the polka dots. I also LOVE the way the sentiment really pops.
I have to admit that the gingham was what caught my eye on this card by {Nora Anne} but it was the creative use of the fabric tape that made it a can't pass up kind of card. I have three rolls of tape that I rarely use and this is a genius idea :)
I'm so ready for beautiful butterflies to flutter around...this one on {Christy's} card would be just perfect. I LOVE the way she cut out the frame stamps and then added the ticking around it. I don't think I've used this stamp much but I will be trying this soon too.I'm pretty sure the beauty of this card speaks for itself but let me give it a try anyway.
{Michelle} flipped the pattern papers from the background and the flowers to give it a PERFECT balance. Can you imagine these all packaged up in a gift card set....WOW!
Now this card and the next picture are BOTH from {Ginger Schwerin}...inside and out :) I mean LOOK at the shading of the flowers above...SO much depth and dimension they could be real. And that gorgeous shade of blue....ahhhh.
I LOVE the second layer of the fabric paper...so much wonderful texture.
Make sure you stop by and show these ladies some love...and have a great LAST day of the weekend...I could have used a week long weekend to get my to do list done :)

Happy Spring Floppy Hoppy!!

Hello there and Happy Saturday my sweet {ippity} friends!  So, tomorrow's the first day of Spring, and I thought I'd continue to carry on with the Spring theme!  Last Tuesday, I highlighted some gorgeous {ippity} projects made with the "Sweet Thoughts of Spring" Stamp set!  You can find those projects right here, and did you catch what Maria made yesterday as a cupcake topper using this set?  It's the most sweetest!!

I love Spring,  and I am so ready for it!!  So, I thought that I'd create this sweet little burlap bunny I saw earlier this week on Scrapscene!  I was so inspired to try making this project, and knew it would be great to match it up with a couple of stamps from our {ippity} "Sweet Thoughts of Spring" stamp set!

I stamped the 'happy spring' sentiment, then punched it with a circle punch.  Then, I stamped the plaid scalloped stamp, just once and cut the scallops out individually.  You will see that I then glued them to the back of the circle punch to create a little scalloped flower.  I pierced a hole and ran some twine through the scalloped flower embellie to make it a hanging necklace to accompany by bunny!   Now I am ready to plop this floppy onto by desk or perhaps onto my coffee table for a sweet springy home decoration!!

Hope this will inspire you to use this stamp set for home decor projects!! This set is perfect for it them!!
