Fresh Idea Friday.....Felt Pouches!

Wow! Happy New Year's Eve!!
I feel excited about being able to post the last {ippity} project for 2010! How fun!!! It's Lisa H. here and I hope you like my fresh idea for today. Over the holidays I made quite a few of these little felt pouches to hold gift cards. They were in the shape of mittens and they were a HIT with my friends and teachers. Sooooo, I got to thinking, they don't need to be limited to JUST Christmas. You could make these in any shape for any season. I did this one up with a simple scallop circle (I used a nestability die) and stitched it up leaving an opening at the top. I decorated it with a fun tag, some ribbon and a button AND the super cute and VERY popular {ippity} set,
How You Doin'?
A little baggie of red hots tied up with some pink Divine Twine completes the treat pouch! Wouldn't these be the cutest Valentines to leave for your kiddos or your friend at work? Have fun, use your imagination and create a felt pouch of your own.
Wishing you all the BEST to the rest of 2010 and hope your 2011 is even better!
We've got some NEW fabulous fun coming to {ippity}!!! We are all excited about the changes and can't wait to fill you all in! (just a little longer, I promise)Hugs and be safe tonight!

Hip Hopping into 2010!

Happy Thursday!

Happy Hip Hop!!!

It's hard to believe that tomorrow is the last day of the year!
I don't know about you, but I am welcoming in the New Year
and looking forward to a New Start!!!

from the Unity DT and Ippity DT as well!

Just follow along the little blog hop buttons to get to the next blog!

For Monday's Hippity Hop I challenged everyone to create something to help
RING in the NEW YEAR!

What I find rings true to me each year is that it is a time for me to work on myself and find ways to be a better me!  Then I started noticing how Ippity ( and Unity) have so many wonderful quotes that are so uplifting and inspiring.  So I thought why don't I make myself a "Quotes a la Happy" book filled with some amazing Ippity quotes that I can read as often as I feel the need to be reminded about being a better person.

So that is what I did!!

I made my own little book of Ippity Quotes!!

I had a cute little accordion album that I found forever ago that was perfect for this project.  And now when I open it up, I am filled with Ippity Inspiration that helps me keep my attitude "right where it should be!"

How true is the saying I chose for my album cover???

This amazing quote comes from the Ippity stamp set called

Delightful Little Things

You can head over to my blog to see the insides of this fun album!!

Our Last Hippity Hop of 2010

Welcome to today's Hippity Hop!!

I hope that those of you celebrating the Christmas holiday had a wonderful time with your family and friends!  And I hope that you got everything that you had hoped for from Santa!!

Christmas at my house was special because it was filled with family and friends who helped me remember what this season is all about!  I am so blessed to have such a loving and warm family!!

As Christmas passes, many of us take some time before the New Year to reflect on the year past and to look forward to and set goals for the upcoming year.  And I thought that would be the perfect thing to do here too!

Do you remember some of these great Hippity Hop Themes from 2010?

Here's Eryn's IHHC6 Glitz Challenge

Michelle Woerner challenged us in March to use Chipboard for IHHC16
And this is what Eva created for that challenge!

Karen asked us for IHHC23 to incorporate lace in our projects!

Lisa Arana created this beauty for Angie's IHHC48 Fiber Challenge!

And Lisa Henke created this turquoise and yellow treat for Eryn's IHHC33 Challenge

This is one of my all time fave cards that I created.
It was for Eva's IHHC43 Challenge to use metal on our cards!

This is one of Maria's creations that I was especially fond of because she made it and sent it for me for my Birthday this year!  It was for IHHC47.

Stephanie was challenged by Lisa for IHHC53  to use the first Ippity Kit she owned.

And last but not least, our wonderful Guest Designer Angie created this beauty for our recent IHHC54 challenge to create an Easel Card.

Can you believe that we are about to close out 2010??

Boy did this year fly by fast!!

But now,  Let's

LOVE the vintage feel she has given to this one as well!

here is another easel card by lynn miller.  her's is a small CALENDAR...which has defintitely inspired me.  click on her link above for the templates that she used for the calendar!

Fresh Idea Friday

Happy Friday!!! It's Stephanie here to share one last gift Idea that I did for a special friend. I really have enjoyed doing my own handmade gifts this year for Christmas.

life is to short to be anything but happy.

I bought this frame the other day knowing I was going to use it as a gift. I measured the inside of the frame cut a piece of thin cardboard and then I just decorated as I would a card front. I also removed the glass because I knew I wanted to add some fun embellishments. This project literally took me about 20 minutes to put together not bad for a fabby little frame. I used one of my favorite Ippity kits Quotes A La Happy and K and Company Handmade Collection.
Have a Happy and Safe Christmas Everyone!!!!!

That's How Thursday & Unity Hop!!

It's Hip Hop Thursday!  If you need to start the hop from the beginning, just click right here, and you will be on your way!!

Today, I am sharing one of the two cards I showed you on my blog today!! Using a shipping tag as part of my card decoration, I thought why not take that tag, adhere it, and make it a place to secure a GIFT CARD!!

So, here's the gift card holder card and isn't the
{ippity} HAPPY BIRTHDAY sentiment  just the sweetest font style!!

Here are some quick steps to making your own GIFT CARD HOLDER card:

1. Cut the card base 4.75" x 4.75". Using white chalk ink, ink all sides of your card base.
2. Cut the light blue paper to 4.5" x 4.5".  Cut the light pink paper to 3.5" x 3.5". Machine stitching is optional.  Adhere your border punch to the light pink paper.
3. Adhere the light blue paper to the card base.
4. Using a shipping tag, cut down so it fits behind the light pink designer paper.  Take your adhesive runner and glue the sides and bottom portion of your shipping tag to the back of the light pink designer paper. Adhere the pink paper/shipping tag piece to the blue paper.  Here's when you will slide that gift card in between the shipping tag and pink paper!!!
5. Stamp your ippity sentiment onto the Spellbinder die cut. Adhere ribbon and tie bow, button, and pearl.  Add a little button and bling to the shipping tag bow tie as well!  That's it..ready to gift away!!

And now for the HIPPITY HOP comment WINNER!!!
