Monday and it's H{ippity} Hop Day!

How can you NOT love a Monday when you know it's H{ippity} Hop Day????!!!

It's a new week, a new challenge, and a new batch of {ippity} inspiration!

It's Lisa H. here with this week's challenge. We're reaching back, waaaaaay back for some, and maybe not so far for others.

Either way....this week's challenge is to Use Your First Ippity Stamp! I got the whole first release, so techniqually I could have picked from any of those, BUT I went with my first set I actually put ink to and that was Devoted! It sure felt good to give it some love this weekend.

My project combines the Theme of Hip Hop Thanksgiving Table Decor and My H{ippity} Hop Challenge IHHC48. To use Fiber on your card or Project. I know it might be easier if I just show you what you can make with these great fibers if you have any..

now it can be just a piece of funky yarn..

like the one I used in my Hip Hop project Place Card below.

Fresh Idea Friday - Printer's Tray

YAY Friday....my second favorite day after Thursday :)

Do you have any plans this weekend??? I have family coming over on Sunday so I'm busy getting ready here. World Card Making Day is tomorrow so be prepared for LOTS of {ippity} and Unity FUN!!!!

So how about my Friday project.

I've had this Printers Tray done for a month now and it's proudly displayed in my living room. I've been wanting one of these for awhile and finally broke down and bought one. So glad I did...such a cute keepsake idea.

Here are a few close up shots:The branch below is from the {ippity} set {Devoted}. I stamped it right on the cork and just cut it out. I glued on a little flower and I think it made a cute subtle embellishment. The background is the {Thoughts From The Past} stamp.

Here I used the sets {Where You Should Be} and {Totally Happy}
I cut the bottom half of the You are right where you should be sentiment out and added the metal alpha's to complete it. The flowers were stamped right on cork again....I really love that stuff :)

These Printers Trays are fun for scrapbookers and yes even cardmakers. The opening are ATC (Artist Trading Card) size so completely cardmaker friendly.

Sunday Favs- March 14th edition

Hi everyone! Michelle here to share my Sunday Ippity Favorite cards! Each week the Ippity Gallery on SCS grows and it's amazing to be a small part of the Ippity family!

Here are my favs from this last week:

First up, Teresa aka: va.sunshine. This card uses one of the sentiments from Devoted. The colors are fresh, the lace and ribbon combo is divine with the perfect amount of distressing. Oh and did I mention the HOUNDS TOOTH heart?!?
Next is Emily aka: Stampingout. This card uses the bunny and cloud images from Sweet Thoughts of Spring. Happy spring is right!! This card makes me smile with its fun use of embossed hot pink and bright happy blue clouds! Isn't this one adorable by Lynn, aka: Briarthyme? She also uses Sweet Thoughts of Spring. What a CLEVER use of stitching for the sun rays and I just love bright sun with the cloud outlines! HAPPY card for sure!This soft, lovely and whimsical beauty is from Avery, aka: Avery123. The card uses the fabulous sentiment, and 2 images from Where You Should Be. I LOVE the soft color combo with a simple piece of stitched grosgrain accented with a trio of brads!
Next up we have a CAS card from Bonnie, aka: BonnieRose. She uses a sentiment from Life's Little Moments. I love how simple and whimsical this is. Just shows you, less IS sometimes more!!
And last, but certainly not least we have a fav of mine from the Design team - Lisa, aka: lisahenke. This card uses What Matters Most. I LOVE how she pieced and cut out butterfly trail image. Everything perfectly coordinates with the amazing Quite Contrary paper from MME! AND, what? The double bow/burlap string is perfection!!

Eva's Sunday Faves

It's Sunday again, and it's my turn to pick my favorite {ippity} projects from this week's gallery....yaaaaaaa...I just love looking all the pretty cards, seeing all the beautiful inspiration, but it's so hard to pick just a few.  Anyway, here are a few I choose to highlight.

My first card is using the Simply Home set created by Heather.  I love the colors and the vintage, rich look of this card!

My second card is using the Because of You and Just Wanted to Say and created by Michelle.  I love how cheerful these cards are, they made my smile, when I first saw them!

And take a look at this creative card using the Devoted set by Lisa.  I have to say I so love the design of this card.  In fact I definitely have to try something like this....hehehe....

This week, since we are all into making Christmas cards, I thought I would pick two cards that used the Kissmas and Mistletoe set.  It's only fair, as there are quite a few beautiful cards in the gallery with that set.

My first pick is by Karen.  Take a look at this gorgeous card....the design is incredible, and look at all the snow she has on this card, not to mention how she made her frame with Spellbinders. 

My second choice is by Stephanie.  I really love the traditional Christmas colors, the beautiful embossing and just the overall design.

Fresh Idea Friday- Clean and Simple Style

Happy Friday to all of you and thanks for joining us today!

This is Kelly here with my idea for this Fresh Idea Friday!! I have an easy project to share with you that is a great idea for gift giving or even just for quickly increasing the stash of your generic cards to have on hand.

I had a friend visiting me yesterday and she asked if I had a "Get Well" card she could have.  And much to my surprise, I did not have even one in my stash to give her.  But I told her never fear... I will make one really quickly.  (Typically that doesn't happen for me.  Many of my cards can take a couple of hours to complete.)

So anyway, using the Simply Home tree image and the sentiment from Just Wanted to Say, made this card in about 10 minutes.  (Well actually more like 15 if you count the time it took me looking through my scraps to find the DP I wanted to use! LOL!)

I used the Rock n Roll method of stamping on the tree image.  If you aren't familiar with that technique, you can learn more about it HERE from SCS Resources section. It is super easy and a great way to add more than one color on solid stamps especially!

So my "Fresh Idea" hit me when I decided that I loved how quickly this card turned out and and that I could use this layout again to create more!! 

I decided I would take this idea and run with it.  You know, we don't have to reinvent the wheel each time we create a card.  If we like a layout, or a color combo, we can use it over and over again and just change things up a bit to give a fresh feeling!

So I decided to make a set of cards sized 4 X 4 to fit into a box that I have saved from Bath and Body Works that has a clear lid.  I altered which Ippity stamp I used but kept my same layout and color scheme.

And this is what I came up with...

Instead of the satin ribbon I used above, I changed it to a velvet trim I had on hand so that the cards would mail easily without extra postage required.  The felt gives a nice texture to the card too!

This card uses the tree from Simply Home and the sentiment from Just Wanted to Say.

Here I used the Butterfly from Devoted and the sentiment from Just Wanted to Say.

This branch is also from the Devoted set and the sympathy sentiment is from Just Wanted to Say.

This house image comes from the Devoted set and the sentiment from Just Wanted to Say.

So might I suggest to you too that the next time you create a card that you like, do yourself a favor and create more of them that are similar.  Or make a few extras and turn them into a gift set.  There is no need to always create a new card from scratch every time. Save yourself some time, use up your resources and you will end up with even more cards to share with the loved ones in your life!!

This is Kelly today and I  have been having so much fun perusing the Gallery this week scouting out some creations using {Ippity} that caught my eye and I wanted to share them with you!  So get ready to feast your eyes on some {Ippity} Eye Candy!!

This Beauty using the Devoted set was made by the first official {Ippity} Chick!! Cindy Coutts didn't waste any time ordering her stamps or in getting her {Ippity} into the Gallery!

 {Ippity}stamp designer Heather Rolin proves to us with this beauty using the Simply Home set that her talents go beyond just designing stamps.  She knows how to use those stamps too!!  Love it Heather!!

Jennifer Taylor has created this beautiful card that uses the Devoted stamp set.  I love the contrasting colors she chose that perfectly accent her card!!  Her color pallette comes from the paper collection that came with the collection.

 

Using wonderfully warm and rustic colors, Emily Niehaus has created this gorgeous card using the snowman and sentiment from the Kissmas & Mistletoe set.  I love all the distressing!

Robyn Leonard used the Kissmas & Mistletoe set to create this special card that is perfect to give a loved one this holiday season.  She also uses some of the papers that came in the collection with the purchase of the full set.

This card is just wonderful in many ways! Maria Gurnsey has added such warmth in her colors and produced a very balanced card using the Because of You set for the flower, and the Just Wanted to Say set for the sentiment.  This will definitely make someone's birthday very happy!!

And last but certainly not least Lisa Henke has given such an eyeful in this inspirational creation that uses the Devoted set and some of the papers too.  What awesome fall colors!!

Butterfly Birthday!

Hello to all of you and hope you are having a wonderful Friday!!

So did Eryn's post yesterday knock your socks off?  I am amazed at how she was able to make such a fun and fresh album and incorporate so many {Ippity} stamps into it!! I hope that she got the ideas in your head turning as much as she did mine!!

Kelly here today with another card share for you!  By now many of you have started to receive your {Ippity} stamps (Woohoo!!) and your fabulous creations are making their way into the SCS Gallery.  I LOVE what I am seeing!!  You guys are awesome!!  (But actually I already knew that!)  :-)

I created a bright and cheery birthday card for you today and used several of the {Ippity} sets in the process!  Stamps from this card come from {Ippity} sets...

• Devoted (butterfly)
• Just Wanted to Say (frame for sentiment)
• Life's Little Moments (number collage, happy birthday block)

And the DP is also from the papers released with the November collection.  All are from My Mind's Eye.

Here is a closeup of the butterfly from the Devoted stamp set (love this Tanis.. thanks!) I colored it lightly with my Copics and then added an opaque white pen to the hollow dots.  I also matted the butterfly in black cardstock and popped it up with some pop dots to really make it stand out.

I created the strip of numbers simply by stamping the numbers collage stamp from the Life's Little Moments collection three times in a row using my Stamp-a-ma-jig.  It is a stamp I see myself using plenty of times!!

To create the Happy Birthday sentiment,  I first stamped my frame from the Just Wanted to Say stamp set and then by masking off parts of the Happy Birthday stamp from the same set, and stamping in red and blue inks, I could make this a two colored title to better coordinate with my card.  I added the little bit of extra bling in the way of rhinestones to both the title and the butterfly!

Can't wait to see more of what you guys create with these fabulous sets, so I hope I have inspired you to get busy stamping!
