Tippity Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone it's Stephanie here to share a quick tip with you!!! I wanted to share some quick Thank You Cards with you it's always nice to have a bunch of these in your stash especially for those Ippity sales that you make. I know that when I receive something that I have ordered I am always happy to see that the company has taken a little time to say Thank You for Your Order.

These cards probably only took me twenty minutes for all four. These are 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 square and all I needed was some favorite cardstock, some DP this is Basic Grey's Basic Collection really fun to stamp directly onto but of course you can use what you already have in your stash and your favorite stamp this one is from the Simply Said Kit and the Thanks is from Fall For You Kit.

For my image I stamped and heat embossed it. Another fun idea would be to stamp your images in different colors and match it up with some fun ribbon. You could also make a Thank You Card using a kit that your customer is buying from you not only will she get a Thank You but a great idea for a card.
My tip for the day take a little time to make some quick and easy Thank Yous to show your customers that you really appreciate their business!!!
Have a great Tuesday!!!

Tippity Tuesday!

I struggle with this post every time my turn comes up to post it. I think, me, give a tip? I don't know any tips that everyone else doesn't already know, hehehehe! Last week before I made my Hip Hop card I was flipping through a crafty magazine and I saw something and said, "oh, I forgot about that." Reminding myself that it doesn't have to be NEW all the time. Techniques, stamps, papers, all kind of trends and ideas circle back around in this industry. I love that! If you stopped by my blog last week, you saw this CAS card.
I stamped that leaf image (from The Simple Things) directly onto a subtle print of designer paper from the Quite Contrary dp by My Mind's Eye (Ippity Winter Paper Pack) with black craft ink and then I embossed it with clear embossing powder. I love this technique and it works great with any solid, silhouette image.

I also love to stamp a great sentiment or quote directly onto designer paper for a fabulous focal image. There are just sooo many beautiful designer papers out there and so many great quote stamps that can stand alone. I think a lot of times we get caught up in layering and pairing quotes and sentiments with images. We forget that these stamps can be THE focal point of our card.

So, that's my tip today-Stamp directly onto designer paper. To make it pop a little more, emboss it! I think you'll like the results. If you are using a quote or sentiment stamp, the trick is, use a subtle pattern of dp so the words don't get lost.
Have a great day! and as always, Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs, Lisa

T{ippity} Tuesday

Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday!

It's Heather here and I have a super fun & easy tip
to share with you all this week for
T{ippity} Tuesday!!!

As a Hostess for a workshop or a paying customer at a card club or kit club, I always LOVE receiving thank-you's. One thing I noticed people like receiving are embelshiments. What better way to say your thanks better than super cute, easy & fun homemade embelishments?

So this is my "Thank You" Card for the business I receive. I've even had people appreciate them so much they ask if they can purchase more because most embelishment packs are really expensive, and these cost about $0.34 to make.

Here's a sample I created using this same consept of homemade embelishments...

Thanks for listening to my mini tip and hope it brings you much repeated success!

Super big hugs and have a fabulous day!

T{ippity} Tuesday

Hello all! Maria here again today. Today I have an organization tip for your {ippity} stamps. I've had a few questions from some of my customers on how I store my stamps so I thought I would share with you all. Kelly and Lisa have also both done a storage post but the same method doesn't always work for everyone so I thought I would share mine too :)
I like to have my stamps all out and visible. I use these storage panels in a 3 inch binder for my stamps. If you google {Stamp N' Stor Lightweight Storage Panels} you can find lots of places that sell them. They come is packs of five.
Here is a look at my stamps on the storage panels.
I cut the front of the {ippity} stamp packages off for an index and punch holes in them so they fit in the binder.I can get two stamp sets on one sheet which means I can get TWO WHOLE RELEASES in one binder. (8 storage panels)
I like to know at a glance what is in each folder so I made this cute side label using the {ippity} font Impervious.
This storage solution has been very helpful to me and I love having ALL my stamps in one folder. It's easy to grab and easy to flip through and be inspired. With the next release I will have to start a new folder but I will be able to get one full year of {ippity} in two binders. Pretty compact if you ask me :)

Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: They are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.

T{ippity} Tuesday

Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday!

It's me, Heather, and I'm super excited to bring you a TIP today!

A lot of people are often overwhelmed by starting any type of business
because they don't know where to start or
how to go about getting a customer basis.

A GREAT way to get things started
is to host your own workshop at your home.

This is very informal and doesn't inconvenience anyone
right away and also gives you a feel of customers you never knew
you had who you've known forever!

Here are some GREAT tips for hosting your first workshop!Just remember to have fun with it.
Offer beverages and make it so the customers don't feel overwhelmed or pushed.

Be sure they are having a good time and that
will help you to get more sales.

Remember: Less is More...Super big hugs and good luck with your Open Houses! Heather R.

T{ippity} Tuesday

Hi everyone! It's Michelle here with today's Tuesday Tip!! I can't take credit for this tip, I saw it on someone's blog one night when I was blurfing around. Unfortunately, I didn't make a note WHO's blog it was! (if you know, please mention in the comments and I will give proper credit and link)

DON'T BE AFRAID TO CUT YOUR RUBBER!

Kinda simple really. One of the many advantages of UNMOUNTED rubber is that you can CUT them! Yep. Do you ever find that the sentiment stamp you want is too long for the space you have on your card?

Well, try cutting the sentiment.

The trick to this is cutting it in a V shape, so it fits back together easily and stick to the block -good as new. My example uses a stamp from the set Music of My Heart.

This first picture shows the sentiment all together:This picture shows it apart (I even trimmed the top and bottoms of the stamps to fit closer together on the block):This gives a better view of the cuts:
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

EEEEEEEEEEK!

So as my first act of Guest Designer for a while,
how bout a super uber fun
T{ippity} Tuesday?Look into holding classes locally through the community.

It's a great way to grow your business as well and
look at new customer avenues.

YOU:
1. Set price of the class
2. Select what the student will receive as far as product

4. Create the projects for the class
5. Enjoy the rewards with minimal efforts

THEY:
1. Get the people signed up and collect the money

Community Ed department or local craft/scrap stores!!!

Stay tuned to {Ippity} Matters Wednesday for the latest and greatest!

So in {Ippity} fashion as old as time itself

T{ippity} Tuesday

How about another T{ippity} Tuesday Tip from one of our fabulous {ippity} chicks

Of course, the prices of YOUR klub are completely up to YOU. The best thing about being an {ippity} chick or dude, is that EVERYTHING is up to YOU.

To create a Kit Klub that works for you:
*consider how often you would like to meet
*adjust the Kit Klub membership to fit your monthly sales goals
*teach new techniques at each class
*offer the paper kits and ink pads as additional purchases or add them into the membership fees

An exciting part of having a Kit Klub is being able to offer new {ippity} sets every three months as they are released. Your customers will be just as EXCITED as you are to get the new stamps.

T{ippity} Tuesday

Hello ALL...it's Eryn posting today!

I have a FABULOUS TIP for you today and it comes from our very own

Unity/Ippity Artist Extraordinaire Heather Rolin!

Here's a peak at Heather's sales incentives:
$75 in sales = 1 free set (Valued at $18)
$125 in sales = 1 free set up to a $24 value
$175 in sales = 1 free set (valued at $24) AND 40% off 1 set
$225 in sales = 2 free sets up to $24 each set
$275 in sales = 2 free sets up to $24 each set AND 40% off 1 set

This is a wonderful way to encourage your hostess to invite more guests...and even encourage her guests to order even if they can't attend the actual party!

So MORE sales for the hostess {and MORE incentives for her}

= MORE sales for YOU!

Thanks for stopping by...

T{ippity} Tuesday

Hey all, it's Maria again.

Two days in a row, are you tired of me yet :)

It's my turn to bring you this weeks Tip-itty Tuesday and I have to admit I was puzzled about what would be a good tip. Then I had a customer email me that they had received their stamps z{ippity} quick. Isn't that cute!!

So here is this weeks tip:

As I get orders I go back into my blog and edit the number of sets on hand. This is great for the customers but is also a great way for me to keep track of my inventory.
Here is an example:

I have {3} on hand so this item will ship immediately.

I thought I would leave you today with my favorite quote EVER! It's from the book The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks! Did I mention I LOVE this quote :)

It'sT{ippity} Tuesday!!!

Hello, hello!!!  It's Eva typing away....Hope you  had a fun Blog Hop yesterday!  I certainly had a great time visiting all the blog hop participants blogs and seeing all the {ippity} eye candy!!!  And I am so looking forward to the future hops!!!  I love to be inspired, and I sure was!  Thank you ladies for all the pretty projects you had to share!

Well, since it's Tuesday, I thought I would share a little tip with you about how I color my {ippity} stamps. First I stamp my image with either Stazon, or Memories, as they will not smudge.  Than I use a waterbrush to pick up my ink and most of my images are painted in with Ranger Distress inks, but I also use Stampin Up inks and Pallette, so I am not really discriminative.  It really just depends on the colors I need.  So, what waterbrush I use, you may ask?  I use the Zig Watercolor System called BrusH20.  It's really fun, as it has a little water tank you fill with water and just squeeze as needed to make the brush wet.  I have been using this method for years now, and I love it and highly recommend it. Here is what the brush looks like.

I thought I would share one of my cards with you as a sample.  You have seen this card already, but now  you know how I colored the image.

It's easy and you can do shading with it, too.  So, that is my little {ippity} tip for you today.  Hope it inspires you somewhat and I get to see some of your creations using this method.  It's inexpensive and affective as you can see.  So now it's your turn, how do YOU color your images???  What is your method???  Hope you share...

And today I leave you with this quote.

Have a FABULOUS {ippity} day!

It's T{Ippity} Tuesday!!

Can you believe it is December 1st already!!  My how time flies!!

With the start of the new month, we are ready to put our new calendar for the Ippity schedule into motion.  We will have a graphic at the top of this blog (very soon) that you can refer to so you will know what to expect on each day of the week!  We will be having regular postings that will  inspire, educate and hopefully entertain you as well. :-)

Until the graphic is available, here is what you can expect on each day of the week:

Monday: Hippity Hop:  (Sign up for our Blog hop and participate in a Challenge if you choose)
Tuesday: Tippity Tuesdays (Helpful hints for {Ippity} Chicks and fans)
Wednesday: Ippity Matters (Info straight from the {Ippity} Management team)
Thursday:  That's How You Do It!  (Tutorials)
Friday: Fresh Idea Fridays ({Ippity} DT project share)
Saturday:  Flatter-Day Saturday (Showcasing someone special)
Sunday: Our Faves (Showcasing our favorite cards from the previous week found in the SCS Gallery)

Doesn't this sound like fun???

We are very excited about our schedule and think it will provide you with stuff you want to see from Ippity!!

So today is Tuesday which means we have a tip for you!

Have you guys been selling and shipping your stamps to customers yet?  Well this tip is designed to help you out with a little information about Shipping!

Here is a picture of the Flat Rate envelopes that you can use to ship up to five sets of stamps...

There are other options for Flat Rate mailings to fit the needs you have.  But it is important to know what your options are and what the costs will be so you can charge your customer the right amount for shipping. If you undercharge for your shipping, you will be losing some of your profit!

Here is a graphic that may help you determine the size of the package you need and the cost involved in shipping it...

For more information on Flat Rate shipping or for ordering your FREE supplies, please visit the USPS for more information at www.usps.com

({Ippity} is in no way affiliated with the USPS and only suggest this as an option for mailing packages.  It is our recommendation that you research all options to determine which shipping method is best suited to meet your needs.)

We would love to hear your tips about shipping if you have any. Please leave a comment and let us know what you have learned about shipping {Ippity} stamps!
