well it is still Friday here... I am so sorry to post this soooooo late!! What a crazy week it has been!  But I have a four day weekend now and new Ippity in the HOUSE!!  Are you ready for some fun?  We have it - new challenge on Sunday (you better hurry and get those blinging entries in quick that challenge ends tomorrow night at midnight!) - linky party on Monday and RELEASE PARTY ON TUESDAY!!! Hello Ippity Peeps!!!

Just wanted to wish you all a happy Friday and share a little fridge art.  Who says our kiddos are the only ones who can put some art on the old fridge. 

 

 

I made this springy scene using the  

Sweet Thoughts of Spring

ippity stamps set.  

 I added a strip of magnet tape (by Xyron) to the back so it will stick to my fridge.  

If you don't have magnet tape, cut a piece of a business magnet (you know you have a ton of those stashed somewhere) and glue to the back.

Just a cute way to add a little bit of spring to my kitchen.

Spring Money holder

Hi there, happy Friday!  It's Eva here. Hope you are having a lovely day.  It's sunny from where I am typing  and wishing you lots of sunshine, wherever you are.
Today's post started out with a different idea, however it quickly turned into something different...don't you like how the creative mind works?  LOL  I sure do! I had these really pretty Maya Road envelopes I purchased a while back and they were staring at me...so I just had to play with them.
So, with Easter coming up, there might be a need for a little gift card or money giveaway to some loved ones, and that is where this idea came from.
Dress up an envelope!  Simple, quick and oh so FUN!  Here is what I came up with.

I used the Sweet Thoughts of Spring set to create this little holder.  It has everything you need in it.

And here is a close up of my little cluster.

Well, hope you enjoy today's little project and create a sweet little envelope for someone!  I bet they will love both the outside and the inside!

Fresh Idea Friday....TWINE

Oh, my beautiful TWINE!!!

I love this stuff, can't get enough of it and can't stop using it. 

 I love that it comes in so many fun colors.

  I thought today it would be fun to look at a few fun, and unique ways to use this wonderful stuff.

First up, I used the purple twine to make a Frame around my images.
I felt it gave a perfect, home spun touch to this welcome home card.

Stamps are from House A Home!

Then I played with the same colors and came up with this easy and quick birthday tag.

A thin strip of glue and some Pea Pod twine and I had a sweet lil' stem for my flower.

Tie a bow to add some leaves.

Had to use How You Doin'? on this one.

You'll also see some Gurnsey Gingahm along the bottom.

Then in case you missed it on Monday's H{ippity} Hop

(our last challenge for March is to hand stitch on your cards

two more days to get your creations posted!!! )

Here's another look at some French Knots done up with a green strand from the twine. 

 Just cut a small piece of twine and pull apart the

1 strand you want and use that to stitch in some knots.

I then wrapped it around the sentiment layer
and fanned out the twine to create a few rays, just like the sunshine!

Cupcake Topper

Is anyone else CRAVING spring??

Colorado has been teasing us with Spring weather. Yesterday was 70 degrees...today's forecast SNOW :(

WIND and SNOW.

My least favorite combination.

Cupcakes and CUTE {ippity} stamps.

Well...really cupcakes and ANYTHING...but today...cute stamps!

I'm planning on having my family over again this year for Easter and really want to cutesy it up. I've had this idea for cupcake toppers in my head and decided to get started. Yeah I know Easter is a month away but if I don't start now they will NEVER get done.

I have to admit I've never made these accodian flowers before but they were super easy.

A few tips:

**The tutorial I followed told you to score the paper every 1/4 inch. AFTER doing this tedious task where I ended up cutting the paper I ended up folding it...back and forth without score lines...Kindergarten style :)

**USE HOT GLUE...just saying. Don't hold things together and wait for the glue to dry...and then stubbornly try three more times. This 10 minute project will easily turn into a 45 minute project...don't ask me how I know this :)

**If you don't have a stick on hand to make these...get creative. I used a pipe cleaner.

**Paper piece the chick {or bunny} from the {ippity} set

for faster results.

Fresh Idea with Fabric

Hello and  Happy FRIDAY!!! Is anyone else sooooo ready for the weekend? I am! It's been a long week with a sick kiddo. Happily, little man is feeling better. I am too, because I got some stampy time AND I get to share it with you today.
I pulled out some fabric I had in my stash and decided to use it 3 different ways.  I'm hoping it will inspire you to try creating with fabric.  Don't have any??? Don't be afraid to go into your closet (or your kid's...they always have way cute patterns. but pick something they've out grown) and find something you haven't worn in a LONG time or that doen't quite fit right anymore and cut it up!

So here's what I did with it. First, I used a rectangle and stitched it to some cardstock. I used it just like pattern paper. It adds such a nice texture! This quote, just spoke to me, yesterday. It's from Quotes à la Happy.

Next up, I decided to make some flowers with it. This flower literally took me 3 minutes to create. I cut 2 circles, one a little larger than the other, then I ripped a strip of the same fabric, twisted it up and coiled it to make the center.  A little fabric glue and I was good to go. I let it dry while I assembled the rest of the card. DONE!  {ippity} stamps here are from Quotes à la Happy! Oh, and leaves are from Now & Always!

Then I went really easy and die-cut some fabric. I had my Hearts A Plenty die out and cut two of the hearts out, then pulled a little at the edges to give a more raw, homespun feel to them. A fun color combo, Book It and  How You Doin' stamp sets and this turned out to be my fave of the day!

So there you have it. 3 ways to add fabric to your cards. I hope you feel inspired to give it a try! Enjoy the weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Fresh Idea Friday

Happy Friday it's Stephanie here to share my Fresh Idea with you.

I have seen a ton of fabulous ideas from alot of the Ippity Chicks and how they draw their customers in with all the great sales and shipping deals and so on, but not only that alot of great ideas on the little extra special things that they treat their customers to and today I want to share an idea I had as a thank you that would be great for that Ippity customer. If you are like me I have a ton of fun embellishments that I will probably not be able to ever use in this lifetime so this is a perfect way to find a good use for all those buttons,trims and flowers you have on hand. So what I have come up with today is a little embellie package that I put together and just a fun little gift.

First you need a clear bag and you can pretty much purchase these at any Craft store I actually ended up cutting my down a little to make it smaller.

You then need to decide on a few little embellishments and I also included a couple different trims to add.

After I have got all my supplies together I then decided on what kind of topper to make for this one I die cut one of my biggest Spellbinder label die and scored it in half.

To finish my little package off I wanted to decorate my topper with some fun Dp. The Ippity kit I used is How You Doin' for my little sentiment tag.

To keep my package all together I stapled on each side and then added some twine along with my tag. There you have it a fun little Thank You package that took only minutes to put together!!!

Can you believe January is almost at its end???  

What a fast pace to the beginning of 2011!!!  

And that also means...  

VALENTINE'S DAY 

is almost here.  Eeeek.

So, I thought I would share a sweet little Valentine that could be mass produced.

I am going to be honest, I have never mass produced a Valentine in my LIFE!  But I think these turned out pretty darn cute and would totally make them for my kid's {if I had one} classroom.

Supplies

• Now and Always stamp kit
• Straight from the Heart stamp kit
• Season of Joy stamp kit
• red card stock
• white card stock
• red, pink and black ink
• Versamark embossing ink
• white embossing pen
• blender pen {I used the one by Tombow}
• anywhere or long reach hole punch
• small suckers {like dum-dums}

 Plus, I created a little video tutorial as well.  Hope you like it.

Fresh Idea Friday.. Ippity Fashion

Good Morning Everyone..

Welcome to Fresh Idea Friday

I know this is not a new idea but it is a fun one to do.

How about some Ippity Fashion.

I just made this tee for my daughter. She just loves all the Ippity stamps and was so thrilled to wear something Ippity to school today.

So for the supplies you are going to need. a tee shirt some ippity stamps ( I am using the heart from the Ippity Devoted Set) some colourful fabric paint a sponge piece of chipboard for the center of your shirt.

Let's get started

Get all your supplies ready to start, making sure your chipboard is in between your t-shirt.

you are going to need to put some of the paint in a plastic container, and put a little of the paint on your sponge

Lightly paint up your stamp of choice. If you want you can try it on a piece of paper first to see how much paint you want to apply. press down.. make sure you have the chipboard in between your t-shirt. I want to make a dragonfly so I will be doing this twice. Now with a paint brush do the dragonfly body Now if you want to dry overnight or just use your heat gun and dry.. that is what I did. Now you have a wonderful design for your child to wear. Ippity Fashions.

She told me she is going to tell her class that she is wearing Ippity.. maybe we will start a new trend, you never know.
