Flatter-day Saturday!!!

Yippeee...it's Saturday and this is Eva.  Hope you all had a fabulous first full week of the year and ready to soak in the weekend's pleasures!  I know I am....in fact as you are reading this, I am at a crop with my sweet friends.  Nothing more fun then scrapping with your buddies...

So today we decided to introduce you to a very special person, in fact so special, that she is the very first {ippity} Chick to sign up to sell our wonderful {ippity} stamps! And I have the pleasure of introducing you to this wonderful, sweet, funny, and talented lady,

I asked Cindy to tell us a little bit about herself and this is what she had to say.

My name is Cindy Coutts and I live in Paducah, Kentucky. We’ve lived here for 3 years now. I’m originally from California, married an Ohio boy and then moved to New York for 14 years. I have four great kids and one daughter-in-law. Mike is 24 and my DIL, Alaina, is also 24, and they live in New York with my grand-puppy, a dapple dachshund, Lexi. My other three kids are Mackenzie (16), Scott (14), and Bailey (11). My husband’s name is Pete and he’s very supportive of my crafting. I’ve only been stamping now for two years and LOVE it! I’ve met so many wonderful people and have learned so much. I think that crafters are just about the friendliest and most helpful ladies who truly love what they do.

How did you first get involved in stamping? - I went to my first Stampin’ Up! party in November 2007 and immediately became addicted.

What is your stamping style? -  It really ranges. I used to try to imitate my favorite stampers until I started to take the approach of letting me the stamp and paper tell me what it wants and needs; sort of like how your style of house talks to you on how to decorate it.

Tell us about your creative process? - I either start with a stamp set or start with the paper and then go hunting to see what will work with it all. It also depends on what kind of mood I’m in too what I create.

What is your favorite {ippity} stamp set and why?I loved all of them immediately, which is why I probably drove you all crazy on sign-up day, but I would have to say my favorite is Devoted. I love the scripture stamps, especially the font of them, and there’s just so much versatility to this set. It’s been my best seller.

How often do you stamp? - Daily

How long does it take you to make a project you are happy with? - I’m not as neurotic as I used to be because for me, there’s never the perfect card, just the best that you can do. My cards can range anywhere from minutes to working on one over a few days.

What does your craft room look like? {messy, clean, etc.} Both? - I do clean up between projects. I think it’s just the floor that’s message with what misses the garbage can; not to mention the backs of various adhesives all over the house.

What is your biggest paper crafting challenge? -  Trying new techniques.

Since Cindy is an {ippity} chick, I asked her a few questions regarding her experience with {ippity}.

What is the name of your Ippity Sales Blog? -  You can find my Ippity sales blog at:

What made you decide to start selling Ippity? - I proudly boast that I’m the first Ippity Chick! I wanted to get in on the ground floor of something big and exclusive and grow as the stamp line grows. I love the fact that there are no minimums, we can set our own sale prices and specials. The variety of the stamps are awesome in that you can mix and match different stamp sets and the results are amazing!

Tell us about your experience selling Ippity - What I honestly love about Ippity is that the stamps sell themselves. The business works for you rather than you having to work the business. My customers come to me to get their stamps because they like them so much.

I asked Cindy to share with us her favorite creation with {ippity}, and here is the pretty card she shared with us.  I know our DT loves it, as we shared it here before.  I really love the colors and papers Cindy worked with and her design is so sweet and using her favorite set, Devoted.

And at last here are some fun questions Cindy answered for us to get to know her even more.

What song best describes you?I had to ask my 14-year-old son this question because I couldn’t come up with one. He said it’s, “You’re So Vain,” by Carly Simon, and I think that’s because I’m always asking them in the car on the way to school if I’m having a good hair day.

If you were stranded on a desert island what are the three things you would bring? My Bible, my toothbrush, and some sort of primitive tool that would serve the dual purpose of breaking open a coconut and killing fish.

What is your favorite quote?Psalm 95:3, by God.

What would I find in your refrigerator right now? - A lot of Yankee food and coffee creamer.

If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?I would want to be invisible.

If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?Only Cindy Coutts Would Do This.

What would your dream vacation be?Going to Israel.

Cindy, it was such a pleasure chatting with you via e-mail, getting to know you, I had a blast about a few things you and I shared, but some are best not shared here on the blog...hehehehe.  Thank you for taking the time sending me all the info needed to compile this sweet interview.

Have a fabulous {ippity} day!
Eva
