3D fabric heart Valentine's Day card

That's how Thursday...with Eva!

Today I have a cute card to share with you, which happens to be my Valentine's Day card for my hubby, Michael.  He normally sees all my creations as I make them, but I was able to make this without his "supervision"...hehehehe.
Ok, so do you have some fabric at home???  My tutorial is to create a card that has a stuffed fabric heart on it and here is what the end project looks like.

My supply list:

Fabric - I used two different ones
Stamps: Straight from the Heart and Because of you
Ink:  Stazon
Markers:  Triart
Stickles
Cuttlebug Embossing folder
Button and embroidery thread

And here it is step by step on what I did with my fabric parts of this card:

1.  Cut a piece of fabric enough to fold in half for the image and stamp image with Stazon stamp.  (You don't need to stamp it twice)

2.  Fold fabric in half and stitch around the stamped heart image, so you are going to create a little pillow.

3.  Once almost reached the end of stitching, take some cotton balls and stuff the little pillow you created.  It took a whole 1.5 cotton balls to fill mine...hehehe.

4.  Finish sewing the pillow and cut around the edge (inking sheers would be so cute - note to self, I must buy pinking sheer scissors...)

5.  Last fabric step of the card is to scrunch up the fabric trim and glue it down.  Lately I have been using Helmar's 450, which does an amazing job for these type of things.

Last steps were just to stamp my leaf from the Because of you set onto craft cardstock, cut it out.  Adhere my heart to the front, add my leaves, tie black embroidery thread around the blue fabric border with the button.  Stamp "I love you" onto cardstock and cut a strip of it, outline it with Triart marker and adhere it to the top of the ribbon.  The last step was to draw two black lines with the marker on the edge of the card and fill in with blue color and top it with Stickles to add more interest to it, and you are officially done with the cute heart card.

Hope this inspires you to create a pretty Valentine's day card for your loved ones.

Today I leave you with a beautiful quote perfect for Valentine's day, in fact I think I am putting this inside my card for Michael.  I LOVE IT!

“For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.”
