{ippity} handmade garland...

better late then never, right?  :)
i am a wee bit late in posting this today...
so i am going to get straight to business....

a tutorial on how to make
HANDMADE GARLAND
with your {ippity} stamps!

above  are the supplies i used in creating this project.

first... choose one of the {ippity} background stamps or something that has a nice pattern to it.  i am using DOTS FOR SURE in this project but i have also used the music note background from Music of My Heart.

second... choose a shape that is fitting for your project.  i used this star punch to go with this week's color challenge ---> red. white. and blue.  ohhhh, but how cute would HEARTS be for valentine's day coming up...or BUTTERFLY's for a little girl birthday party...
third... i like the distress look, so i decided to add some distress ink to my project.
the star on the left hasn't been distressed and the one on the right has...totally YOUR call, so that you get the desired look for the project you are making!

fourth... i used my spellbinders nestabilities to create the perfect felt circles.
this machine is AMAZING!

fifth... choose 2 different colored threads to create the "baker twine" look that i have achieved here.
sixth... as you are sewing just keep pulling the thread while still sewing - even though you are not actually sewing ON anything...then add in another star or felt piece as you see fit...
keep doing this until you reach the desired length of your garland.

and WAH LAH...
JUST. LIKE. THAT.
pretty garland that can be used for party decorations, unique gift wrapping, and SO MUCH MORE!

hope you have had a SPLENDID week....
thanks for stopping by!
