Here are some SUPER SUMMERTIME Tips to help you grow YOUR {ippity} business!

1. Set your summer goals - Decide what you would like to achieve each month this summer and write your goals down. I am a HUGE believer in writing down goals and then posting them somewhere that you will see them everyday.

2. Pick your dates - Select the specific dates that are "open" for you to participate in exposure events or hold a party or show. Summer is a busy time, so decide with your family what will work best for your families schedule.

3. Pick a theme - If you are holding parties, summer is a great time to add some extra fun to grab your hosts and guests attention. Some fun ideas are a tropical theme, picnic theme, pool party (whether it is a kiddie pool or adult pool), beach theme etc. Have guests participate by bringing or wearing something that goes along with the theme. Make your summer party an "event", not just a party, in order to grab their attention and their attendance.

4. Be flexible - If available, offer more flexible times for parties such as a morning brunch or a luncheon. Consider an informal open house style party for repeat groups.

5. Host a summer open house - Invite all hosts, past guests, neighbors, family and friends. Offer special incentives for those that attend.

6. Schedule a Summer Power Hour as often as you need. Set aside some time to make courtesy calls to past hosts and guests. Ask if they have any summer gift-giving needs, ask if they have any questions on their current products and check to see if they have seen the new products that are available.

7. Enter exposure events - this is one of the best ways to build your business...exposure! Summer is filled with craft shows, fairs, festivals, business expos, city/town celebration events. Great advertising for you and your business.

8. Summer gift giving - Summer is filled with many events that require gift-giving. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Bridal Showers, Weddings, Back-to-School, Class Reunions etc. Don't forget to offer {ippity} products for gift giving needs.

9. Be the answer - The overwhelming need right now for many people around you is to earn extra income. Send an email to your hosts and customers and share the {ippity} opportunity with them. They will feel honored that you offered this and you will be rewarded for each person that you refer!

10. Take it to go - Make sure and have a basket or tote with your {ippity} business essentials. Include a few products, samples that you have created, catalogs, business cards, order forms etc. so that you are prepared to share {ippity} wherever your summer activities take you ;)
